Gas is way too cheap over there. ;)
Seriously I'm with Eric here, you don't need something huge to tow that. Racear 1050 kg + open trailer 450 kg = 1500 kg (3300 lbs) that's not heavy. I've towed...

Ditch that auxiliary fan. The ordinary electric fan is enough.
It's looks like a DIN speaker plug. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIN_connector)
I would say that the clearances is basically rock steady with one exception. The valves will settle slighty, ~0.05 mm, after valve seat regrind.
I also keep it a bit tighter on clearance....
I disagree with the statement that they don't work for spirited driving or track days and that you will end up braking things. Racing is another thing.
I had these spring on my car for about 8...
Yes, completely normal.
Yes, finally I had have the opportunity to test them both on road and track.
On the road I find them firm but not harsh. Ok, driving the stone paved road in centre of town or driving over sharp...
Start with the simple things.
Check for poor/bad connection/wiring at the temp.sensor on the engine. Then nut, SI-batteries.
If you can't find any kind of electrical errors then you should...
I ordered a set of these about two weeks ago from www.sellholm.se shortened to match the free length of the GrpN springs.
Both Bilstein workshops I have talked too do not recommend the GrpN shocks...
You should measure how much suspension travel you actually experience. At this moment you are just guessing.
There are two easy ways for logging maximum compression. Put a zip-tie around the piston...
Still available, I bought one last week. Part.nr. 16 11 1 118 379

No :nope:, that's a stock E24 635i oil cooler. This car I recognize well. It started its racing life with a 4.0l M60...
Always tie down at an unsprung part. Build in least amount of flex as possible.
Depending on car and rim switch I between through the rim or around the tire like UweM3 but I prefer going through the...
17*8 ET35 is doable but not recommendable. You get something like 1 mm clearance between the rim and the strut.
I do also recommend a 15 mm hubcentric spacer, since that will give a perfect fitting...
Stock BOSCH X5DTC.
Track days, autocross and daily driving.
Milage usually around 10000 km (yearly). I tested on one set to see how long they would last, after about 20000 km I got tired and...
Same as standard E30. For things like this there is nothing special about the M3.
It's the right combo according to Bilstein them self.
Just look in their catalogue -> http://www.bilstein.de/fileadmin/user_upload/pdfs/katalog/796-2-bilstein_katalog_2010_gb_150dpi_low.pdf
Right now there are 3 seeders and 10 peers active.
My computer isn't on around the clock, at least not during workdays.
Now you got me curious. How early?
My -87 (build month 1/87) had double springs. (I don't remember the colour markings.)
Looking in the ETK its seems there has been four different...
Ok, keep seeding please.

Filter measurments: http://217.89.113.25/mahle/_action/Controller.jsp?filterid=1829&folder=mahleFilter&actionMethode=filterDetail
Normaly there is no need for "priming". Most oil filter have an Anti-Drainback Valve built in. Standard S14 and Fram HP1 oil filters to name two have it. So there is no problem to get a filter with...
As far as I know my car has been doing this at least since 1999.
I think the cause is correctly described in this TIS-article.

As lazyass349 sad they are fastened with screws at the bottom. On the top snap fasteners that almost certian some of them will brake when removing the side skirt.
Order some new ones from your...
You misread me UweM3 due to bad choice of words in my post.
I was answering the remove question not tighten it. Both the vice and the pipe wrench are powerful tools. My points was, do not use to...
A big pipe wrench will do the trick.
There no need for over tightning either the strut in the vice or the with pipe wrench. Just tight enough so that they don't slip.
Hi Erik!
We did the engine swap this spring.
Suddenly the old 4l V8 felt dull despite delivering 330 hp. Mpower is fun. :D
Sbailey294.
I do recognize both the picture and the wheel. I'm almost 100% certain that it's a RH wheel, http://www.rh-alurad.de/indexen.html , model name is ZW1 Cuprad. You can almost see the RH...
Yes I do race but not with my M3 it only see track days and fun roads.
I share a race tool with two friends. It's another BMW classic, sort of. :ha: ...
It's a XZN head i.e. inside 12 point.
I have the binary files for my three different chips. Stock, GrpN and a know swedish engine builder. I'd like look at the maps and compare them.
I've found this program, Motronic Editor, which seems...
The difference in valving between sport (P36-0136/B36-2028) and sprint (P36-0335/B36-2027) is very very small. I got this info from Bilstein's Swedish general agent/service center. The main...
Since we are talking Europe it's Sprint you already have.
Double check on Bilstein's own site if you doubt me. http://katalog.bilstein.de/
Edit:
US Sport = EU sprint
US HD = EU sport

From what I heard the Tarox 6 pot isn't bad at all but what I also heard from the person who had them was that Tarox wouldn't sell any rebuild kits. You had to send the calipers to Tarox for...
