something about that just seems super sketchy. 60k miles? Looks like it was pulled out of a shipwreck.

Does the clicking noise through the steering column sound like a relay clicking on and off in the column itself, or can you feel it through the wheel as well?
Exactly, it is plausible that EA was only told that it has been a pampered garage queen all of its life and since the carfax checked out, ignorance is bli$$. I'm not saying the car is a total con job...
Have you seen these? Not cheap but looks to be the very nice fully functional setup

Fair enough but that description is either intentionally deceptive or misinformed.
Part of their strategy must be lying about the cars. I know this car and the stories the owner tells are not the stories EA tells. I'm surprised it doesn't come with its spare set of track wheels.
Sounds like you got a bad batch. My new material bolster fits perfectly and the material seems higher quality with tidier deadening than the original. The new piece I am no happy with is the jack kit...
That looks and sounds like it the same newer material used for the new ebrake surround I just got. It is more textured, little grippier, matte black, and more solid/dense than original. I'd love to...
As you can see, s14/s38b35 are chrome finished and have hexagonal ends on all pieces. S38b36 is flat finished and cylindrical on the end. It is also a bit shorter....
There is no question. I have the s38b36, s14 and s38b35 tools. Trust me, this is not for the s14.
The s14 is basically a s38b35 (e28 M5) minus 2 cylinders, which does use the same spark plugs and though the tool is slightly different, they are interchangeable. S38b36 had a raft of changes, spark...
no, otherwise they would be cross compatible. s38b36 plug (Y6 DC) is 16mm and s14 (X5 DC) is 17.5mm
If only it was a s14 spark plug tool. I emailed him last night telling him he is misinformed. It looks to be a s38b36 tool and they are NOT cross compatible.
My front height is 24 7/8 and the rear is 24 3/4". Because I used 6mm thicker pads in the front in theory I should be higher than you but I'm sure they crush more to be like 6mm rather than 9mm and...
Looks like a good time. Wish I was a little further East for these sorts of meets.
Sorry, already spoken for.
My bad on the comparo pics, I typed it from memory and should have looked. Text is corrected, thanks
All done and I am very pleased with the result. As hoped, the front gained 0.75" and the rear gained 0.5". The extra 1/4 inch up front is due to the 9mm upper spring pads versus the normal 3mm that...
Got the passenger side done as well as new rotors, pads and sway link. The only time it would have been nice to have an impact we reinstalling the shock's 19mm top nut but I managed.
Unrelated to...
^ That's what I thought. non M3 e30s all need them split, not the M3. So no one knows what oil or antifreeze to put in the strut tube? I'm thinking neither.
Why do I need to separate any ball joints? I thought that portion of the strut assembly disconnects so the tie rod and control arm can stay connected to it.
Shady- what oil if any do you use to...
Thanks gents, after reading several DIYs on the front shocks, although recommended an impact gun does not sound essential. I have the tool that came with the shocks, breaker bars, pipe wrench and a...
I am changing from stock shocks and eibach pro springs to Bilstein sport and HR sports springs (50404) hoping to gain 0.5" or so. I have already swapped the easier rear suspension out and have the...
Function is the same, it only matters to those who don't want a sticker over another car brand logo. I was clarifying for inquiring minds such as yourself.
///M logos are always stickered Rovers. Non Rover ones have "BMW BUSINESS CD" in that covered area.
My set of new billy sport shocks and HR sport springs (50406) to put on this weekend in hopes of raising my current setup of stock mcpherson and eichbach pro springs by at least 0.5". My question now...
It is getting serious attention lately. Anyone see the BMW CAR cover for May? Hagerty's prices seem about $5k low for each bracket. I'd like to find and buy about 10 said "tired runner(s)" for...
That is a bargain!
How frustrating, I just paid double that for mine.
Always wanted one but unless I was competing in a 24 hour race or a gumball rally it is totally unnecessary. Besides the extra weight and loss of trunk space, you end up running on old gas if it is a...
Can't really help but was looking into the same thing today. I am interested in the 22mm adjustable H&R front sway but it might be overkill for a mostly street car like I have.
If he does, there are at least two open WTB on this forum for them and probably 4 more on r3v. $100 is the most I've seen them go for yet though.
PMed about filler plate
Pretty sweet, wish it had the s38b36!
Looks like $1,799 on their website. Not cheap. http://www.abrahamsmotorsport.com/e30.html
Thank Larry, I'm not sure what a Double 02 is but I know they are not reversible and needs to be a driver side one from a 2 dr E30. They are $102 new from Tischer. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet.
