Interesting....BMP's pics do not show any screw holes? I hate when companies show photos of something that is different from the actual product.
So the blown s38 has been removed?
Sounds about right. Demand for used OEM front bumpers is up and supply is low so I have seen them at $500-600 and often with some type of damage.
check the coolant temp sensor first....make sure its within spec. If the resistance is too high when cold, it can cause flooding.
Ahhhh the worst possible weekend for me...as I am up in the Bay area visiting family. Looks like I will miss another e30motorworks picnic.
Congrats....nice blog.
Very nice. What are those two sensors on your strut housing?
Well you did buy all the stuff new from the dealer. The connector housings aren't expensive but the wiring with the waterproof insulation is crazy expensive for some reason. You will love the new...
So bmp does make an e30 m3 specific brake duct....nice. I'd love to see pics of the actual product when u get the chance.
Will do Jim. They recommend that for most HF tools..lol. after measuring the washers, they are 3/16" for the pair together so I will need to get 2 per side to be about right. Which shouodnt be a...
Brandon, its hard to make a comprehensive article and not touch on that. It's part of what made it so special. It's meant more for people who don't know much about the car. I know what u mean...
So I go to my local HF and ask for the engine support bar. The guy calls it in to the warehouse to bring one up. When he brings it up, he goes "this is the only one we have, it's an open box item...
Damn another one??? this is getting crazy. I was going to do a video blog with Petrolicious as well but thought it was too much, too soon. Don't want our cars to get played out and overhyped more...
Yeah my airbox has rubbed one of the elbows all the way through and caused a big brake fluid leak! Which I just can't have happen again for obvious reasons and brake fluid is very corrosive to paint....
Seems like a worthwhile investment. I will look into it. Tinker, everything has been addressed over the years and I just recently rebuilt the engine...I just need to shim the engine mounts so it...
So the oil pan can support the weight of the engine...just not the engine and car.
How do like using the support bar to lift the engine? Do you just crank by hand or can you use tools?
How do you guys raise the engine to change mounts? floor jack + wood on oil pan or hoist?
VAC clip in brake ducts new or used. Need these for my white M3! Let me know what you have.
Very nice pics. Your car is very clean. Photoshoots are a lot of fun. I just did an online article as well for Digifresh a few months back...

Fixed the link.
I'd certainly like to see a pic of the new early knee panels.
Yes, it's the new material...problem is as of yet, they don't make the forward center console out of the same material. Perhaps they are waiting to run out of the old stock.
Dash swap is easy after you've done it once, it gets easier and easier. The trick is to leave the hvac panel and controls in place.
The finish and the pieces are slightly different.
Yeah, that's the same socket. It's a very tight fit so everything has to be lined up perfectly. Loosen all the valve cover nuts.
Forgot to answer...I found it at a local motorcycle shop (it's a motorcycle spark plug socket).
Nissan, not sure what's going on there but I have no problems removing Bosch and NGK plugs with...
Regarding blowing the bores out...just get a long thin air tube that can get down close to the plug. The air and debris (if any) will be forced back up with enough pressure as long as the plugs are...
Mark, when I saw pics of the snap on I thought it didn't look skinny enough to fit but many people say they have used it without issues. If so, that's a great deal shipped to your door. I found the...
First, blow the bores out with compressed air and make sure the valve cover is aligned right incase it is causing the holes to be misaligned. I had this problem when I first tried it. Second, use a...
Robert C of e30 motorworks also likes the AEM solution. It's about time someone took the plunge!
Yeah, hopefully it wasn't stolen. You always hear stories about stolen cars being discovered at the docks. It had black wheels and was probably an enthusiast car.
So I was working a RORO ship tonight at SSA Long Beach. A RORO is a Roll On / Roll Off car carrier ship aka floating parking garage. We were lashing all kinds of heavy machinery as well as cars...
Leads to nothing...it's an overflow hose. If it's leaking coolant, it means the system is losing pressure which means the cap is probably bad. Make sure that hose and the area under it is dry. ...
Maintenance, preventative maintenance, mods, detailing, pdr...another car. You started with a very clean example so there wasn't much to do to begin with. That's why some people prefer cars that...
