I think it would help if you could post a pic of the area you are concerned about.

Resolved my problem.
Took out the motor and regulator as a unit: same symptoms, no movement. Removed the motor from the regulator and drive gear: motor drive shaft not able to turn. Took the...
To resurrect this thread, my passenger window is stuck up and when I hit the down buttons on the switch, I can hear and feel the motor "bump", but without any movement of the window, regulator or...
It comes with a Dell monitor? jk.
What is the serial number? I can't read it in the picture.
What does the end of the red wire look like?
If you organized the individual parts separately it...
Did the part you received from Blunt include the boot retaining ring clip?

Has anyone had any experience with this site?
I also wonder where to get a replacement clip for the boot base.

Did you get the knob only, or the one piece knob and boot?
What technique did you use to remove the emblem?
Thanks.

Congratulations on your good results. Did you keep the DSSR?
My shifter upgrade has also been completed with good results and no buzz, using a new stock shifter lever in addition to all the other...
A simple thing to try might be to reinstall the stock selector rod in the place of the DSSR, as you were thinking about doing, and see if that helps.
In regards to part #7, with the rubber bushing...
Did you also already replace your shift lever with an new identical part? Maybe you could put your old shift lever back in to see if that is where the problem originates.
What kind of lubricant did...
Yikes. I am doing this project right now. I hope I don't end up with buzzing. I had no buzz to begin with, just sloppy shifting. I also am replacing all the parts and noticed the shift rod...
Thanks, noro, for your input.

If the price was the same, which pump would you choose, evo or stock, for a 1990 USA model with stock engine, undergoing preventative maintenence rod bearing and oil pump replacement.

HI Alecs,
The ride in your car convinced me I had to get one for myself and I purchased one several months after our visit. Unfortunately, I had to go to the west coast to get it.
Say hi to Eric...
Thanks PBC UK, I will see what I can do to tighten things up.
Bill
Thanks.
I was hoping someone would chime in that has done this procedure. I'm glad to hear I can stretch the rubber hole enough to pass the wire with the connector attached.

I've ridden in this car two years ago when I was considering purchasing an E30 M3. It is very nice, sounds great and the owner is top notch. Cars for sale in this part of the country don't come...
Yeah, I felt pretty stupid as I knew beforehand this could happen. It is just hard to get properly oriented with the seats in the car.
I tried spinning the rubber stopper some right after it...
Thanks for the reply, but no, I disconnected the female connector from the male connector in the console with little problem. The issue is the hole in the rubber boot fits tightly around the wire,...
As the title states, I am replacing shifter parts, and planned to replace the shift lever and rubber boot, and note that the reverse light wire runs through a hole in the rubber boot. This wire has a...
Well, I am replacing the shifter bushings, and during the first step of removing the shifter knob, I banged my elbow into the rearview mirror when it popped off. I knew from research that something...
Your car looks great.
I will look forward to seeing and learning more about your steering wheel refinishing?
Bill
Noro,
Just like anything else... don't mess with it too much.[/quote]
What do you mean by this?

Mike, you are right in that with the splash guard in place I could not access the filter. That is why I removed the splash guard and reached the filter that way. It still was not an easy reach. I...
Thanks. I removed the filter from below, removing the under radiator air shield thing to get to it. I made one small attempt to first remove the large hose from the plenum, but when it didn't want...
UNHCLL,
I've only done one oil change, but it took me at least 30 minutes to just get to the oil filter. How do you do it faster?
Bill
Yeah, you are probably right, but you know what I mean. What would a professional shop do , as opposed to a diy'er in his home garage.
Bill
Thats's a good point. At the dealership are they doing this on jackstands?
Or are you talking about the tall jackstands for use with a car on a lift?
Bill
Thanks for the confirmation. Frame rail for the front it is.
In the back, the subfram bot is what everyone uses?
Bill
Reviving an old thread.
Is the rear subframe bolt still the recommended location for the rear lift pad for a two post lift? Any other acceptable options?
For the front, are the frame rails...
I have one I could let go of. PM me if interested.
Bill
Does it work? How about a pic of the back and wires. Is the cd cartridge included?
