I doubt you can run the 284 cam without adjustable cam gears or new pistons. Some have had issues with the 276, be careful and measure the distance.

Actually no, you want an oil that is formulated with older cars in mind. The new Castrol 5W-50, Mobil1 15W-50 even Rotella T6 5W-40, some of the new formulations are reducing the zinc content.
