I am about a week away from the beginning of my 2.5 l conversion build. Part of the build includes painting the engine block. My m is white and I am curious as what color engines other people have.

    Thanks

I'll never use black again; grey all the way. Easy on the eyes.

Did my 2.5 block in Ford engine gray.....figure I will be able to see oil leaks later down the road easier this way. Came out quite nice. Pictures at: http://photos.yahoo.com/charleyterhune

I did mine in Chevy orange. Matches my Henna very nicely! But on a white car I would go either grey as mentioned or black.
    Have fun with the build!

white is another option. In this case done to ease leak finding.

I would highly recommend Por-15 engine enamel paint products. The stuff goes on thick and is much harder than ordinary rattle can paint. I did my S14 block for the M2 project. The kit comes with everything you need to insure a long lasting finish. I purchased mine from a local automotive paint supply store, but check out the link.
