yea I agree, he is definitely a skilled craftsman. No doubt he will finish this beast, especially considering the amount of work already completed. Perhaps he doesnt want his competitors to know everything about his race car...

My guess, it was harder than originally thought, but have seen a 540i engine in an E30 though
indeed, since no updates - it's quite hard to believe it exists ))
Since the OP havent updated or responded in awhile, does anyone know what size tube was used on the t-manifold? Looks to be 1 3/4" or 1 7/8"? Or do anyone know the exhaust port size for the s62?

DAMN! No update since July 2009! Anybody know if at least the car got finished!
This is exactly why you don't start a build thread unless you are actually within a month or two from finishing it. JMHO.

Just a pure guess, but I would wager the project was slowed by the crappy economy.
Like many of mine.....![]()
Hi,really nice car.
I have a few questions for you.
What rear wheel bearings are you using?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...72&hg=33&fg=40
Is that it..
Did you put in the E32 bearings or you kept the M3's 42X75X37.
Next question, what axel shafts did you use?524TD e28..?
Any details of the mod can help me..
Thanks for your time![]()
Hi everyone. there will be no update, the car will not be finished this year after all. Have bought a E46 M3 that I'll be building and driving this year. The main reason the E30 is at stand still is the engine builder is pretty slow, so I haven't got the engine back, and I have a lot of other prosjects taking all my time. Have almost every part needed to complete it, but it will have to wait.
Doggy; I used 44mm tubing on the headers.
d&r&c; I'm using the stock bearing for e30-e36-e46 etc The hub is off a e34 M5 with custom lenght axles connecting it to the M5 diff.
Perfect, thanks for your answer.
i got my car running this weekend.
a friend of Uwe's 'played' with the ecu!
here's a vid of it..........
