while looking at Jake's DTM tour, it cross my mind to wonder if these cars were originally red cars, painted white or they just painted the inside of the car red on what already a white car. The reason for asking this, is because im thinking about painting my engine bay, trunk, and where-ever else red on the inside of the car. Would this look strange?

    something like this maybe?

unless you are building a full blown DTM replica, what's the point?

    1. its the biggest pain to paint the inside parts of a car because everything has to be removed.

    2. it makes it look like your car has been repainted externally and you went with a different exterior color

don't bother unless you have the whole car stripped and match the color inside and out.

The BMW Works Teams have had different colours for the inside of there cars. Schnitzer painted the inside red, Bigazzi was white and the Linder Team painted the inside blue like this.

    Hi guys,

like M3DTM sayed, the teams had different colours for the body shells inside, engine and trunk bay and floor underneath. And don´t forget the famous, inside white painted BMW M Team Zakspeed cars, where I worked on. To me all painted in alpine white is the best choice...the brighter a race car inside and underneath, the better to work on and to find leaks and other problems.

    Regards
    Guido
