  1. #1 EVO Tow Hook Covers and Bumper REPAINT
I'll be respraying the front bumper on the car in the next few weeks. I was thinking is there any real reason to have the tow hook covers to be able to be removed? I will never use the front tow hook, and I was thinking about sealing them to the bumper before the respray. What is everyones thoughts?

Leave the tow hook covers. If you plan on tracking, or you ever plan on selling it and the new owner wants to track it,
they'll need to have tow access. You can install an aftermarket tow point if you want to delete the covers.

Where can I buy this aftermarket tow hook extension as seen in the photo above?

What happens when you get stuck on the side of the road and need a tow truck. The last time I called for a flat bed, they recommended that they hook up from the front and not the back. He said that he was afraid that the front might rub if done from the back.

I remembered when I bought my car and had the car towed to have everything flushed and checked out, the driver hooked the car from the rear and the stock spoiler lip on the bottom scrapped slightly. They even put some wood to raise the car slightly. I've now got some race springs on, and I don't feel like chancing it with those. Does anyone else have the same experiences?

Remove the front bumper to get it on the bed (2 minutes).
Put it back on once it's lifted.
Remove it again before taking it off.

If your car is slammed, you should have something (like wood)
in the trunk to be able to drive the flat tire wheel over --so that
you can get a jack under the car.

I already have trouble getting the jack under the car at the front. Time for a better jack with a lower profile.

I want to install European Tow hook covers on my car, but I'm hesitant about using the the tow hook extensions because in my opinion it doesn't look incognito. Does anyone have any experience with removing European tow hook covers to tow the car? If so, is it easy, and does it scratch the paint (on the cover or bumper) when you move them?

Many people on here have the European tow hook covers.

I have had to be towed 3 times now and have never had any serious problems involving the euro toe hook covers. Just make sure you tell the tow truck driver where the hook is located. better yet, i always just pop it off while i am waiting for them. The first time i got towed, the tow truck driver almost pried it off with a knife!! i am sure that would have scratched it but luckily i stopped him, so no scratches.

really easy to take off on the side of the road in under 5 seconds. either use the flat head screw driver in the trunk, or my favorite, you key and shirt sleeve.

Also, I have always been loaded nose first onto the flatbed. never thought about doing it any other way...

How about a tow strap? You can tuck it away and pull it out when you need it.
