    Heck, I feel like playing the M cop and tearing the M badge off of even the brand new "332i's" and "550i's". At least that's how I address the new M cars. As great as these new Bimmers are, The M stands for "Marketing" now, not "Motorsport", as it used to. As far as I'm concerned, the last true m car was the e34 M5.

    while i cant change yer beliefs on past M cars, all "that" will change in the near future...for one there will be a bigger concentration on lightweights=hence more csl's. Maybe M cars have been getting heavier but comparatively they are the lightest, best handling, N/A cars on the roads today.

    my dad just added a 96 m3 to our stable... now 3 m3's... and i'll say that though the e36 lacks the feel and ect of the e30, it is still a very, verynice ride. has power that is very superior to the stock e30, and sounds great... excellent daily driver....

    I was looking at an M3 recently the guy was selling, it had a big rust bubble at the bottom of the windscreen pillar and inside the screen was misted up. I said, sorry I'm wasting your time that rust is bad, he says 'it can't be rust, there Aluminium!'
    Me 'no there not'
    him 'yes they are, thats why there so light'
    Me ' No, trust me they are not! the boots plastic and the rear surround but the body is steel'
    him' No its ally, the guy I bought it from said so'

    When I unwittingly entered my ///M3 in HIN. I got these comments said under their breath. Many people I was with heard these comments.

    "They didnt make ///M3s in that year"

    "Thats not a real ///M3"

    "They made ///M3s back then?"



    Ignorance is bliss. Lets just say I didnt even get ANY attention from the judges since most my mods are functional and plus its dark in the the hall, and all my car is just blacked out. haha. A few people that knew what they were looking at gave me extreme praise, so its cool. But whatever, I just went to show my car. WRONG environment!!! lol. The judge asked me after me listing ALL my mods to him "Yeah, but what Ice do you have?" and "You just have STOCK interior?" and "Nothing flashy?" (undercar lights, I guess?) It was like he was still waiting when I was done listing to hear the stickes and sound system and lighting. Last time I enter my car in HIN, lol. WHat the hells the point of a car show if its so dark you cant see the cars? lol. Cool experience though.

    I was out front cleaning mine one day, and this 17 year old dipshit and his girlfriend, who he was trying waaaaay too hard to impress walk by...

    Guy: Thats a great BMW...

    Me: Thanks.

    Guy: I really like the body kit.

    Me: Its not a body kit... Its an M3... thats how they came from the factory.

    Guy: How much do you want for it?

    ME: (Chuckling) Sorry-Its not for sale.

    Guy: C'mon, how much?

    Me: I'm the original owner, and I have no intention of ever parting with it...

    Guy: (Getting angry that Im ruining his showing off for the girlfriend) C'mon, how much????

    Me: You can't afford it.

    I had over 10 people within the last 3 years ask me if I put on that wide body kit.. One guy said where did you get that wide body kit installed at? I want something like that on my Civic HATCHBACK..LoL... This people are crazy=)

    Dude i get this shit all the time from freinds even family memebers. When i first bought the car i had to explain to everyone why it was so expensive....

    Even the freakin lady at the bank where i got the loan was like "why are you paying double the price that the car is booked at?" I'm like " Check the freakin internet then call me back" she called back a few minutes later saying that she had went to auto trader and founc numerous cars over 10k for sale.....

    But getting back to some of your posts....I would have to punch whomever who would argue with me that much about what I OWN!!!

    One time i went into a local parts store.. The guy tells me..." Hey i got a lot of kids asking me where to get a body kit like your car has on it"..i explained to the guy that it cam that way stock..he actually was surprised.......And don't even get started on the dealer its a good thing that the president of bmw cca conn valley chapter works there to back me up or it would have gotten ugly !!!

    But in the end...I love my car...and i hope that i can afford to keep this car or another e30 m3 for as long as i can drive......

    P.S. thanks for listening to me VENT.. i feel better now.....

    Guys;

    You want to feel out of place, I'm in Mexico at the moment and not to many even know of this car. I keep getting into arguments with people comparing my car to jettas and nissans.

    "How much did the body kit cost?" "Nice Jetta!"

    It gets worst when they swear they can take you at every stop light with these cars. I usually don't like the street race thing but I've blown my temper a few times and walked a few cars for respect.

    Can't let them put the M3 image down. .

    In my opinion, there is nothing worse than E46 M3 "drivers" who do not know E30 M3. They should be ban from breeding.

    I tend to pass a E46 CSL in the morning on my way to work. I ALWAYS think.

    LOL i think of that all the time... i have had only one encounter with one E46 owner that really knew what i was driving, as i he passed me by he gave me the thumbs up. My girlfriend and i were surprised any other E46 driver will most likely pass you with nose up high all snobby.

    the first time i went to my local dealer to order parts the parts man asked twice if it was a real M3 he taught i was one of those misunderstood peoples. i had to answer yeah its got wide body it outside see. he was surprised, WOW.

    I also remember when i first bought mine the newspaper was plain and simple, first thing i asked was "Its a real one, wide body?" the asking price was to good to believe.
