22 in 1988 when I bought a brand new henna red m3. Wow, amazing, hot, ooh, la la. For one night. BMW credit called next day, had to take car back, loan not approved. Not to worry, just have dad co-sign. No problem, I thought. The skinny... dad wouldn't. Now, at the time, I'm at Drexel university as mechanical engineering student. Graduated #1 in my class. Chairman of trustees at the Baptist church... and still no co-sign. That hurt. I said, one day I will have it back. God always has a plan. So, in 1994, at 28, bought my alpine, still have it. Then, in 2007, at 41, bought my garage queen 58k mi perfect henna. Still have it. Then, in 2009, at 43, bought my Orange. Still have it. Then, in 2010, at 44, bought my silver, still have it. Then, in 2011, at 45, another henna. Yes, still have it. The other night, review the docs for the garage queen henna, bought for the owners son of the dealership, the same dealership I drove one in 1988. How many did they get? Could it be the same one? Too amazing even to consider...

Share the wealth. So this is what I can expect when I get older Mechanical Engineer too. As long as I don't have too many kids :P

34 Hoping to own one in my lifetime!!! :( Always been a BMW E30 fan since I was a kid owned quite a few but the ultimate dream is to walk into my garage each day and see a Alpina Weiss E30 M3 standing there just begging to be driven.

Here's hoping my dream could become a reality!

34, just got mine after waiting 9 years (!) for my dad to relinquish it from track duty. Pretty excited, still cleaning it up after its track use. Surprisingly, it's in great shape - only 87K mi. Gotta make a thread with pics, but you know, it's tough: how soon do you show off your car to the world before it's cleaned up completely?

Anyway, just wanted to say HI to the community, and thanks for being a cool gang. If anyone's in the south SF bay area (Los Gatos, San Jose, Gilroy areas), send me a note, and let's meet up. Cheers!
