I'll be disassembling the rear suspension on my track car shortly and plan on getting some camber/caster correcting eccentric bushings for the rear while I'm at it.

    Anyone have any experience with:
    Ireland kit?
    AKG kit?
    KMAC kit?

    All advice appreciated...Thanks

I have (had) the KMAC kit. I found it a pain in the arse and have removed it. It's difficult to set up and doesn't stay set up for long.
I know there are more expensive versions which may be better. As for me I'm going to use the sport evo eccentric bushes.

Welding in the steel adjusters is not difficult and they work very well. I would highly recommend them. I hated my eccentric bushings (kmac); they didn't adjust nearly enough AND they slipped!

I have the Ireland Kit and it stays put once adjusted. You just need to figure out if you want to more/less camber and more/less toe in. Before you weld them in. They work great.

    SBI installed mine for me.

I welded in the Ireland kit and found it pretty easy. The hardest part is getting the subframe out of there because most everything needs to be removed. There's some pretty good discussions on the subject on here if you look for them. The biggest mistake is that guys make is that the "center" the camber adjuster (inside mount) on the factory hole, thus losing about half of their adjustment (for adding positive camber). Just remember that the inside mount (camber) adjusts from the bottom up and the outside mount (toe) is centered.

I pretty much planned on going with the Ireland kit as well. I've had good reviews from some local track e30 junkies. I'm planning on pulling the subframe out anyway so welding these on is barely any extra work.

I rode in my friends e30 at the track and I was really surprised at how much better the car hooked up with the camber/caster adjusted properly. Not to say the car is bad now, but it was significantly different in the other car...I want them

I have the IE ones. I need to check my alignment to see if it has drifted at all.

I was told when putting them on to put it where adjsut camber would only reduce it....not sure that was a good idea as my max camber is around 2.6. I was hoping to have adjustment up to 3 degrees.

I'm curious about this option as well.

Bimmerworld has a weld in kit (as well an offset non adjustable bushing kit) I'm assuming this is similar to the IE kit.

My friend had the Bimmerworld kit and he is very happy with it (FYI, he had RD suspension). He did comment the Bimmerworld kit is look exactly like the AKG kit.

    Bimmerworlds kit definitely look different:

    Adjustable weld in:

    Non adustable offset bushings (rubber):

    AKG's adjustable poly kit:

(hopefully those pics are working, Bimmerworlds site doesn't like to be linked to )

I have the KMAC eccentrics and they've been fine. I would have gone with the IE weld in kit, but I didn't want to get bumped up into "prepared" class for autocross.

As a data point, I have H&R sports/Bilstein sports, so I think the drop is about 1 inch. The rear camber with the stock bushings was -3.6 degrees.

With the KMAC eccentrics my alignment guy was able to get my rear settings to -2.6 degrees camber, 0.2 degrees total toe.

He told me that the stock camber setting for the rear is -2.33 degrees.

I have had the KMACs installed since the beginning of November so they have seen 1 track weekend + a few thousand miles of street driving. I was really nervous that they would move since I had heard the negative comments, so I used a paint marker to make lines to mark the position. They haven't moved yet.

With that said, the only reason I installed them instead of one of the other eccentric bushing brands is because I already had them (PO purchased them so they came with the car).

    Good luck in your decision.

Hi Cramer, Have you chosen which one's the best? I'm having problem with rear tire wear. I probably need one of those. I'm looking at the Bimerworld kit.

    Thanks,
    Robert
