I didn't see a thread just for Henna M3's, and we need one.

Here's a few pics that show how my car has changed over the years since :

    When I first got it:

Then came some new parts and 16" RN's:

    Then the 17" RN's:

Then new red centercaps and SRD's:

    Then some nogaro LM's:

and currently the champion edition LM's:

OK all you Henna owners and fans post up some pics.

    What an excellent thread.

    Here's mine.

It's a 1986 Euro 200hp version with black leather interior.
It also has electric windows and an electric sun roof.

When I bought the car 2 years ago, it had a supersprint exhaust, Bilstein shockers and aftermarket springs.

Some of the mods that I have done since I bought the car are,
Smoked Hellas with a HID kit.
    Black kidneys.
    Sport Evo splitter.
Wheel refurb painted with gold centers.
    Sport Evo gear knob.
    A lot of polish.

I used it as my daily driver for 18 months and now I use it just for a bit of fun .

I recently saw an advert for a Henna M3 and in the add it stated that it was just one of only 80 Henna M3's built.
I knew that it was a rare colour but I didn't know that such a small number were produced.
    Can anyone verify this?

Here's some recent pics of my baby.

These cars just put a huge smile on your face everytine you get behing the wheel.
I've never driven a car that has the same effect as an E30 M3

Point taken about the bumper seal, I've has the bumper on and off a few times recently and it's come a bit unstuck on the ends.
I also need to order a new pair of fog lamps as they are a bit discoloured and not as clear as I would like.

Since I took there pics, I've given her a few coats of Autoglym High Definition polish and I got to say its excellent and gives a much deaper shine, It's not too expensive either.

Lets hope that this thread becomes the best collection of Henna M3's anywhere. Keep posting.

    Cheers.

I think it's more to do with my old camera and the UK sun than the redness of my Henna.

Here's a picture of my car before I bought it which was taken with a different camera. It looks much more orangey.

Time for a new camera I think.

    Ron///Man.

Can you please explain the effects of the side splitter(if that is what you call it) and the clear plastic piece in front of the radiator and intake. Just curious.

The "side splitter" as you call it is commonly referred to as a "dive plane" --- like on a submarine

It's supposed to, in effect, push the nose of the car down as air rushes over it, to increase front end grip.

    Temple:

As AJ pointed out, the side splitters are 'dive planes' alla submarine. They do primarily produce down-force, but they also produce a vortex along the side of the car which sucks it down to the ground. The air compresses as it moves along the surface and changes direction due to the curvature of the piece which causes the air to rotate.

The piece in front of the oil cooler is not plastic, it's a metal mesh to catch debris. My fabricator came up with this design because he says when air hits a flat mesh, it scatters/changes direction and goes sideways instead of through the cooler fins. By creating a circular mesh, when the air hits the mesh and deflects, more is directed into the cooler. Seemed logical to me. In reality, it often deformed when debris hit it. We discontinued using that style mesh not long after these pics were taken.
