Specialty Car Craft in LA does top quality work but you'll pay for it. I'm not sure they're worth it, but people with far more valuable cars than mine entrust their cars with them. They specialize in exotics and have done work on a several s14.net members' cars. Quoted me $12k for a full repaint.

I agree! Specialty Car Craft is the go-to shop for any high-end car without the high-end price in Los Angeles!

    Highly recommend going to them!

I contacted SCC yesterday and they called me this morning I will be taking the car there in the morning... they seem very interested in the job and where I had heard about them, I dug it up in an old post, and researched them a bit more online. Since they're only 25 min. away I may as well.

Avoid CLASS in Long Beach... not very helpful.

BTW: For suspension work in the LA area definitely check out Darin @ West End Alignments - Camber/Caster 4-wheel alignments, Corner weighting (so empty out the ride except your butt in the driver's seat)

    18008 S. Vermont Ave. Gardena, CA 90248; (310) 808-9233

Darin is in the same complex as Hoa of South Bay Independent... so you get the best of both worlds. Although Darin is by appointment only he was willing to take me on an emergency basis for my insurance claim (Damn trucks kicking up crap like cones that DON'T belong on CA Fwys.!! ). Anywho, he must be a walking encyclopedia of automotive suspension he knew our underpinnings like the back of his hand... all while he was working on the only custom Ohlins suspension on a 350Z in the US!

Status report: I was very satisfied that SCC was capable of getting the job handled
Alex & Steve are great guys, I explained what was goin' on with the car what I wanted to do and we verified we were on the same page got everything squared away with the insurance and I was on my way. That was the least stressful car transaction I've ever done... It's the same shop Mariano got his car done fir those who have seen his car in person... It's the biz. I'd definitely recommend SCC!
