Hell of a find, but I have to wonder if the engine internals and fuel tank aren't rusted/corroded or otherwise gunked up/damaged after sitting idle for 19 years. Has it been started regularly? I'd flat bed the thing to the nearest trusted garage for a full inspection and preventative maintenance before attempting to start her up.
Unbelievable! It is like being hit by lightening twice, in the same spot, on the same day.
What a buy.
WOW! A pirates treasure. What a find. BTW, Are those windshield wipers with a wind deflectors still available? Part number? I know I have a used wiper from my E34. Wonder if they would fit. Hmmmmm. Need to locate the wipers.

I found out my in tank lift pump wasn't working last year, the earth strap had broken.
The car had done around 18,000 miles at the time and as it had sat around unused most of its life, like you, I thought maybe there might be some rust in the tank, but it was absolutely spotless in there.
Hi Bonkers and well done,
Please write a full story on how you came to hear about these Sport evos and the other cars that were in the garage that were also lost and for gotten about.
I dear say that all of us are keen to hear all the details and see lots of photos including the other cars in the garage, can you post pictures of your car collection here also as there is to many links to to this story.
This really is an amazing story!!
Congratulations. Enjoy them in the best of health!!!
Hey Bonkers, I was just thinking. Those 2 super low mileage cars don't look so clean. They must have bad paint, cracked leather, dried up seals etc. They're not worth anything, better sell them to me cheap and find yourself a high mileage better maintained examples!
What a fantastic find ...Well done bonker........lol
When can i take it out for a spin.....lol
If you decide to turn one into a stripped out racer i want first refusal on the interior!
Simply amazing. What a great find!!
No disrespect to Bonkers, but its easy buy anything when money isn't an object, I think its abit of a shame and a waste that these cars don't get drove because that's what they were made to do, but each to there own. I like looking at mine sitting in the Air Chamber in my garage, but I love driving it when I get the chance.
By the way what are their chassis numbers.
i agree with what you say bear, i feel a true inthusiast should keep one as it is now as you would be stupid not to (future value etc etc) and use the other, take it to shows for others to marvel and take it for a blast on a nice sunny day. seems a shame to keep two just to look at and watch them gain in value, one fair enough. but then if you think about it from a purely financial point of view you would be stupid to drive them and thats what most people would consider, the $$$.
