Correct.....Issue 147 is still on the Barnes & Noble mag rack! I just checked today. We'll have to wait awhile here in the USA for No. 148. Please give me a heads up if anyone finds it sooner than mid-September.

Awesome, really need to just get off my lazy butt and buy a subscription. Saves me a drive and several cups of coffee at Barnes and Noble.....

They are not the cheapest magazine either. So might as well enjoy the coffee and the free reading time.

True, I think they are like $10+ a pop in the states, no idea what a subscription runs. I just always feel like a cheapskate

$10 is cheap, here in New Zealand once they add the airfreight and the dollar conversion we are up to between $20/ $25 per copy :-(..

Checked B & N today again...Issue #148 is "still" not here in the USA! I have a 15% off coupon that expires 9/12, so it will probably arrive on 9/13!

I thought it was a pretty good article. A nice tribute to the E30 M3 and why it is special compared to the others. I was also interested to read about how to get the most from an E46 CSL. I am convinced that will become the one to have, alongside the E30. I have a sneaking feeling the V8 in the E92 (and ditto for the M5 M6 V10) will just be a nightmare to maintain in the medium term - those cars just seem so complex.

I agree...I'm all for simplicity. When they started covering the throttle bodies with plastic covers everywhere in the engine bay, I lost interest. I don't give a hoot how fast the car might be or how well it handles...there's just too much that can go wrong on the newer cars (and leave the owner scratching his/her head). I'll have the old bimmers forever! At least when something breaks, we know where to look! :gotcha:...and I don't mind getting my hands dirty. One final thought....take a look at a 1600 - 2002/tii owner's manual someday....you can almost maintain the entire car with that manual, even align the headlights! BMW actually wanted to help owners maintain their cars back then.

I luckily found this issue at an airport magazine stand, which made for great reading material for my flight. Nice review.
