    Josh,

First and foremost, excellent work and attention to detail. I can't believe I am just now seeing this thread for the first time. I am speechless! Your project is coming along very nicely.

I might need to pick your brain one of these days about where you had your throttle linkage plated.

Thanks. The cams on the B36 are already pretty aggressive. I slotted the cam sprockets and set the intake to 108 center-line and the exhaust to 112 center-line. Should provide the best all around performance for a dd.

Thanks Mike. I thought I showed you when you stopped by my work. I'm not there anymore though, I started my own gig.

The plating was done at The Finishing Group. They are right there by Shatz & Krum. Let me know if your going to do it though. They charge by the batch, whether it's 1 piece or 100 pieces. I have some more I want to get done, and want to do all the S14 linkage and stuff for when I start that build.

    Couple misc photos.

The radiator setup. I was able to use factory mounting points w/out modifying anything and get it low enough to look like it was there from the factory. It's from a E28 535i, has a lot of surface area. I'm going to put a big pusher fan in front of it. If I have cooling problems, no biggie...I'll just come up with something else.

The solution for mounting the bottom of it. Without modifying any part of the car you have to get a little creative. Works great though, uses stock rubber mounts and is nice and solid.

Finished bleeding the brakes and clutch. I reversed bled everything, worked like a charm. Pedal is nice and firm.

I ordered a set of RevShift 80A tranny mounts, and they arrived with a M8 upper studs. I emailed them right away and they made another set with the M10 studs and sent them out. Took a lot longer then it should have, but eventually I received the correct ones. All of the bushings on the car are 80A poly, except the RTAB's which are 75D.

After gutting the interior to do the heater core swap, new clutch slave and etc, it was a good time to vacuum and shampoo the carpet. Looks like brand new in person.

Some random front end suspension shots.

Might 80A be a little soft? I can't tell how much clearance you have from your dist. cap to your rad but if its less than .25", under hard braking, the engine may rock into the rad. I used AKG's 95A and am happy with the results. To be make even more room though, I did a custom rad in the condenser area so I could run the stock M5 engine fan. I have about 3.5" of clearance from the dist. cap to the front frame (running e28 m5 cooling system).

I wanted 80a to keep it comfortable as it is a street car. I also don't have a distributor to worry about because it's a c.o.p setup, so there is plenty of clearance.

Beautiful engine there Josh. You've done a great job with that beast. This is one project for the hard drive. :D

Question. Do you have a part number for the MC elbows going to the reservoir? I like those much better than what I'm using.

Excellent will you be using stock s14 tranny mounts as well then?

Outstanding work and very nice attention to the details, love it!

    BTW...is that e36 front suspension with e46 M3 rotors?

The suspension is a kit from Ground Control. It's the "E36-On-E30" kit. The housings are made by them. They are shorter so they fit the E30 correctly as the stock E36 stuff is taller.

The rotors are the stock BMW euro floating rotors for the e36 M3.

Nice. The spindles are the E36 M3 as well right? Not the regular e36 ones hopefully. I wonder how much did this cost. Thinking that this might be a good choice for my e30 turbo which has regualr e36 5 lug swapp but have caster problems, even after all the goodies and modifications I have done.

I guess the rear is stock, except the brake rotors?

Yes the front spindles are the 1996-1999 M3 version. Has to be...M3 brakes won't fit non-M spindles. The 1995 and the 96-99 spindles are different. You can get more camber with the 96-99 spindles.

The rear is all MZ3. Larger rear bearings, reinforced trailing arms, larger ventilated brakes and larger axles...BUT...wider stance, so you need to run a high et wheel. I'm currently using a et40 and it fits nicely.
