    > Hi all,
    >
    > The insurance company gave me a figure for my car from the crash a couple
weeks ago - they said NADA was ~$5700 but they recognize it is a low
production car - so they are offering me $8287. I provided them with $20,000
in receipts that they basically said thanks but this is wht we think your
car is worth. I provided them with 7 listings from Turner, Roadfly and
Autotrader. The rep is saying that since only one was in Mass the others
    aren't really applicable.

improvements. 2.3L motor with a full head refresh last summer and fanatical
maintenance. 107,000 miles. I'm not sure what else to provide to them. Commerece Ins in
Mass is the company. Could use some help here gang.. please reply to the
    list and myself.

If you give me a few days I can send you a copy of the paperwork from my insurance settling for $18,333. I can also send you a copy of my cars appraisal that I received after the crash. It cost roughly between $250-$350.

I suggest you ask here and on the SIG for as many bill of sales AND appraisals you can get your hands on. Especially those located around your area.

You have the right to get an appraisal and contest it. I believe if after this point you cannot agree to a $number$ you can take it to court?

    Here's my story...

    Thanks Magnus,

I'll ask around - any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

How long did it take for you to hash it out with them?

    A long 2 months 10 days.

    I could've waited a year without budging.

I'm sure every day was excruciating. Fortunately It was my spare car, and I still have my race car, so I can afford to drag it out with them. I'm glad you got fiar value for your car, I know your's and Brandon's are 2 of the nicest ones around.
