So we gave my friend Chris' M3 a fresh coat of "hot rod" black, threw my 18x8.5" MK2s on it, and I drove it across the desert in style to M Fest 2011!

    Looking sinister:

My favorite pic that my friend took out of the sun roof of our friend's M5!

    So sexy:

A couple rolling shots taken by one of the M Fest crew:

    Auto-X time!

Grabbing gas on my way back:

The MKIIs look really good on the car. What are the specs on those?

Ya I love them, they're also pretty light for 18s!

Specs are 18x8.5 et15 all around, with 225/40/18. The front needed another degree or 2 of camber to keep from rubbing on the outside of the fender. They rub on the inside of the wheel well on more then 3/4 lock, but these are all for show. :gotcha:

Those are the perfect specs without having to do any adjustments or rolling. The
225/35 work with no rubbing at all. The 225/40 are a bit of a pita when in the parking
    lot or tight maneuvers.

    This.

225/35 is probably a much better idea, but we got the tires that are on them for $100 and they've got a lot of tread left.

We're going to pick up a 245/35/18 tire, to see how that fits. Really don't want to stretch the 225/35 on there, scared to drive around jacked up streets LA with nothing protecting the wheel lips. :gotcha:

Sweet, then there will be at least 2 s54 powered m3s there!

Are you coming to Bimmerfest Ryan?

225/35 is really thin. I know a wheel are two on mine are bent cause of it. I went
with 225/40 on my current setup and the car rides nicer. Just had the massive rub
    when turning.

Yup. I'm going to try either 245/35 or 215/40 next. I need to figure the rigth size out up front, as my staggered 18" ACS Type 2 are the same exact specs.
