Find a 5WK9604 and install it, removing the stock AFM.
It is a siemens MAF installed on Volvo S40 / V40 (?).
The bmw Z3 2.0 has a very similar sensor it changes only the last digit of the part number.
Find an ATS (whatever it is), install it where you please.
Connect the ATS to the pin 1 and 4 of the stock plug.
Connect the MAF as in the following (sensor / stock plug)
pin 1/ pin 4
pin 2/ pin 2
pin 3/ +12V (connect a cable to the + pole of the ignition coil).
The engine fires right up, no problem, smooth driving, no stalling or power drops.
Just a rich mixture at high loads.
At low/medium loads the lambda reading is almost the same than stock.
I'm going to map the high loads, but if you don't want to, you can drive without.
Let me know.
