It was a 'lost episode', nice review on the m3 csl - too bad we didn't get stateside...
The e30 m3 was nice to see, and had ACS mirros, and what appeared to be sport evo seats.
Though their '88 m5 was incorrect. . . It was actually an e34 m5, not e28.
Good clips of some nice M cars regardless.

Here you go...
Clarkson and BMW M cars on the Isle of Man part 1 (series 3, episode 2)
This episode ...and lots more, are on Netflix. Series 3, Episode 2. Or every episode is downloadable from FinalGear.Com. Also available are the US, Australian TG's and 5th Gear, a second cousin to Top Gear but sometimes Vicki makes it worth a watch. (I'm late 40's so the younger crowd may not find her hot, totty for the older crowd)
Vicky is a plus point for fifth gear , much better than listening to the waffle the other 3 idiots on top gear pour out .
i wached 5th gear when it was state side it was a better show about cars with a real race car driver leading the show i miss Tiff Neddle and yes Vicki looked liked she was a lot of fun and a Hotty
I liked that episode. I think hammond's reference to the E34 M5 was just about right - I think he meant the model that came out in 1988 which is near enough to the E34 launch date. ut IIRC he was driving a wide grill model which would not have been made until 1993 or later.
More importantly, they raved (quite rightly) about the E30 M3 and E34 M5.
I noticed the wide grill too. I believe the first E34 M5's to show up in europe were 1989 models with 1988 build dates. The last of the E28's were built in 1987.
Funny Jeremy didn't check them on that since he's driven the E28 M5 and also gave it very nice marks.

)The M5 is on a 'N' Plate which means 1995 - 1996 .
You have to love the way they gushed about these cars. Hammond said the E30 M3 made him want to move to the Isle of Man (he similarly raved about it in a magazine article last year - saying the inside is devoid of toys but that doesnt matter because it is a car to be driven). And he said the E34 M5 is unbelievable because it drives like a 2 seat sportscar yet resides in the body of a family saloon. Having driven one for the first time last year I can testify that this is true.
Hearing Hammong talk highly of the E30 M3, makes you want to go out and drive your own and never sell it!
Great episode, of which I stumbled upon on Netflix....I watched it twice in 1 week!
Maybe Captain slow should watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHuln...layer_embedded
