    Hi all,

Thinking about running some lightweight 18's on my M3 with 225/35/18's, but a little concerned that they will be too much. The roads where I live are definitely pretty good, so not too concerned there.

    Any comments appreciated.

Yes, I ran 18's and didn't like them much.

    Thanks for the reply!

What size tires did you run?

You didn't like the ride, or something else?

I just mounted my 18x8.5's wearing 235/35/18's. We'll see how it feels. So far it's taking time to get used to looking at it.

I plan on taking some after I get everything cleaned up and outside. Whatever junk they used to lubricate the sidewall for mounting hasn't wanted to come off yet and looks like crap. I'll drive it some this weened and will be able to tell you how well they fit. I didn't want 225's on the 8.5 rim because I don't like stretched but I can tell you they should fit fine.

    It's been a while, but I think I ran 225/40/18 on a 18x8.5 rim.

the car felt sluggish and just less nimble. It's not as noticeable when you go from a 15 to an 18, but when you go back from an 18 to a 15, whoa!

I also didn't like how the wheel looked on the rear. They looked great on the front, but just didn't sit right on the rear for some reason.

    Thanks for the info!

Very nice looking M3, by the way. Where did you get that splitter? I love it!

Here ya go, 235/35/18's on 18x8.5 BBS RK et38 with 15mm spacers. H&R sport springs. It bounces alot more but no scrubbing yet. I even tried out some railroad tracks and I have plenty of travel with no scrubbing. I do have EVO fenders tho.

I had 18s long time ago, they are too heavy for the car, maybe ok for show car with swap motor but definitely not for every day driving
