I'm not one to fire up the flame thrower but, in this case, I felt it needed to be done. I am truly amazed at the poor level of fit and finish in DTM Fiberwerks' product. I had read that they quality was not great but now I've seen first hand that they actually do put out some CRAP.

I will post pictures later because everyone should see what I am raving about and not just take my word for it. There should be proof behind any statement, especially a negative one, and I will provide it.

Here is my email to DTM from a few minutes ago, I'll post their response, if I get one:

I bought one of your e30 M3 evo III wings with CF flap at the end of November, 2011, and only got around to test fitting it this past weekend. The fit is HORRENDOUS. There is a twist built into the wing so the uprights don't sit flat on the deck. I'm talking about a 1/2" gap at the front end of one of the uprights. The holes for the mounting screws are about 1/2" off and why should I have to "notch" my factory deck? The overall dimension is also about 3/8" too narrow.

Your CF, however, looks very nice. But now you tell me that I may have to "notch" that as well? These are two pieces that were made at your location and you can't even get them to line up correctly?

    JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK, JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK,JUNK

Did I mention your wing is JUNK

    Most Sincerely,
    Bill Molina

Just my opinion, but I think you should reach a point where you've come to the end with your dealings with this company before posting it up here, or at least have pictures of the product and their response to them.
You should have at least asked to return this for a full refund if you are not happy, but you don't mention that. Right now all you are doing is posting something half done which is very negative against a vendor.
This space is a sanctimonious shit-free zone.

I will post pictures this evening.

My comments are aimed at the fit and quality of the product. I had no problems with the service. Actually, DTM was very quick to process the order and ship the product with plenty of packing material for protection.

I am not the first to criticize the quality of their products. I had read prior comments but decided to proceed with my purchase, regardless. I now see that the prior commenters were reserved in their critique and I don't blame them since we should always give some degree of leeway in our evaluations. However, what I received showed complete neglect for quality control.

If I am to use this wing, I'll need to a fair amount of trimming, insert proper studs in the correct locations and re-glass the bottom ends of the uprights. Easily a $400 job at a body shop (paint included). Fortunately, I feel fairly comfortable in tackling the task myself but that's a good chunk of time required and that's something I don't have much of.

Sorry to hear about the issues. I voiced concern more about the service I received, but the quality of the hood I purchased was not upto expectations either. I eventually sold it to a guy very cheap for his track rat.

even if you do tackle this yourself or send it to a body shop, doesnt it not change the fact that the actual wing is too narrow?

3/8" is kind of a lot, and will probably be pretty noticable even if you do mount the wing centered and correctly

I'm not disagreeing with you the fit was way off and it took some shaping to make it look good. The side mirrors are off too. They say you get what you pay for.my parts were cheap I think they look good but took some work.I really don't understand If i owned such a great business and had so many compliant s I would buy oem parts and make perfect molds.Buying from DTM at this point we all know the risk and quality.

^ Post #14 speaks volumes to what kind of low life and shady operation you are dealing with when you do business with DtmFiberwekz/Eurostop/Ary.

Sorry for your troubles OP but all the signs were there to lead you away from this outfit.

Sorry to hear about your issue with DTM Fiberwerkz. I was looking at some of their product last Christmas but after some comments from members here, I decided not to risk it and went some where else instead.

I've never been one to cut corners on my car parts.....nothing but proven stuff from recognized vendors. Yes, I knew there was criticism out there for DTM Fiberwerks but I figured "how bad can it be? besides, it's going on the track car".

Well, nuff said, you get what you pay for and you should always listen to your friends.

You should've bought from Martin - trackm3 on this forum ... his wing is cheaper and is .... "bolt on"

Here are a few sample shots to give you an idea.

Difference in hole/stud position. More than a little "notching" required to make it fit

    Overall dimension difference

    Right side upright

    Left side upright

Not quite flat across the top. There even seems to be a bend in the wing.

I'm done here. The pictures will finish the story.
