    Hi Guys,

Maybe wasting my time but I'm picking a few parts up on Monday and the guy also has a Sport Evo steering wheel but it's quite worn (his words). I quite fancy one (have done for some time) but would obviously need to have it recovered. Any ideas how much (ish) it might cost to have it recovered? It's £50, would I be better off putting that dosh to new one or putting too and having this one done. The guys I have in mind to re-cover it are excellent and would do a great job.......

TBH while I'm writing this I'm thinking.....Do I really want to spend money on this. I should really buy a new one or a very well looked after second user one.

Not sure? I'm bowing to your superior knowledge.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi David,

Can you get the proper suede to cover the wheel because if not I wouldn't bother buying it. I bought a NOS Sport Evo wheel, horn push and it came with the cover on ebay last week for £260.00 including postage, C3 sells them for £219.00 + VAT just for the wheel. Buy a new wheel and a pair of leather driving gloves and it will last a long time.

    GARY.

    Hi Gary,

    Sound advice me thinks.

It doesn't have the horn push middle. Any ideas how much the full piece of kit is?

I had a tatty Sport wheel that came with my car. I had a it retrimmed to sell on and it cost £110 + post and that was about as cheap as I could get it done. Most places wanted £150 - £200. I used this place www.royalsteeringwheels.com as he was all over various BMW forums and had great feedback. He also did the wheel on my Brothers old Z3M Coupe, which he wanted with a bit thicker padding and stitching in the M colours. Again, another fantastic job.

Here's some pics of the wheel he did for me.

Possibly £100 cheaper for the other one (inc re-covering).....but will it look as good.......

Steering wheel was not much good (to me anyhoo) but the stuff I had actually gone to pick up was fab.

I went to pick up two E30 M3 doors (drivers and passengers).....Turns out they were off a 1991 Sport Evo in great nick, (not even a ding) and not a spot of rust anywhere!

    I wish.

He had the steering wheel with the centre missing and a couple of rear light clusters which weren't in great nick TBH.
I have asked him to let me know if he gets anymore E30 M3 bits. He had a yard full of lovely cars. A 7 Series Alpina and a B9 (I think) Alpina, plus other BMs dotted around.
