I've been using my IPAD more since it fits full width and the threads / posts are always left justified.

Good luck as you tweek the site....I suppose after being on the old one for 4 years I just got used to it...so getting used to this format is a real struggle for me. I'm trying though!

    Best,

I am getting used to it but the top banner is difficult to look at. Can you please get rid of the alternating s14.net banner that just links to the forum we are obviously on? It would also be great to tint the blue cutaway image behind the "welcome user, notifications, profile..." it is tough to read those or notice if you have a PM. Thanks for all your work.

    Folks,

There's been many hard hours feverishly working on the site to get it where it is now. Rather then keeping you locked-out until everything is complete, we've opened the site, and continue to work diligently behind the scenes just to get all site functions working correctly.

Be a good friend. If you are getting errors, or site functions aren't working correctly (like email not working, cause it's not), then please let us know. Now's the time not to: play art critique, suggest how this site could best suit you, or tell us what's obvious. Deal with it, for now....

Wondering if others have the same issue as myself: Mine keeps switching back and forth between centered and left justified text....

The search function is either broken or extremely slow. Also, some of the font colors make it very difficult to see, very low contrast. I know you all like black backgrounds but many of the more popular sites use lighter backgrounds which is easier on the eyes and gives more contrast. This color selection reminds me of the old MS-DOS command lines. Just a suggestion.
    Several E30 M3's.

More than I need but not as many as I want....

It would be nice if there was a way to set up the Forum to go directly to "Main Categories" without having to first go to a Forum sub-category, then clicking "Main Categories"....follow? The Main Categories format is similar to the old format and just is easier to look up sub-categories.

I have not logged in for months and wow! What a change.

The new format works so much faster and cleaner. The old site was kind of slow for my computer for some reason and I had visual effects problems in the editor. All of that has been solved the site and pages load way faster, posting it much faster, the editor is way cleaner.

I like others am not a huge fan of the condensed forum with the side stripped bars. But its not that bad, only a few minutes to get used to it, although is kind of weird on the vision.

Great work and the effort is appreciated.

I'm not totally sure what you are talking about? The way I see it, is patterned after our old style. When I click forums I see this:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/forum.php

Whatever your preference is, you can select from these links a format you like, then just make a bookmark, and use it as your normal link:

    Thanks! Much appreciated, Robert.

For those complaining about getting vertigo, I have made the background stripes static/still. You won't have an issue with it moving around anymore.

Is anyone experiencing an issue with the "Back" button? I have to click on the back arrow multiple times before the site actually skips back to the last page i was looking at. I'm using IE9 at home and work and have the same issue.

    Magnus,

When I open it up and go to "General Discussion" in the header I can see this:

Forum Main Categories General E30 M3 Discussion

Then, I can click on "Main Categories" and the categories are no longer grouped together in a single horizontal line, but listed vertically in similar fashion to the old format....follow?

Sorry if I'm not being more clear....it's only a suggestion...I cannot get the format that is easy to work through until I click "Main Categories"...it would be nice to get that format right off upon login.

The site is great....getting use to it more and more all the time!

    Thanks,

    John

^ agree with John. I actually didnt realize you can expand the forums to the "main categories" until you pointed that out. A lot better to visualize IMO.

It's not an issue. Stop clicking on Main Cats and click on "forum" instead (which is in front of, or left of Main Cats). I believe it's always been this way?

For those using Internet Explorer, I suggest you try FireFox instead. From what I've always read, IE has always been the worst browser, and didn't follow as closely to any www standards as other modern ones....
