    Hi All,

I am trying to add a ground wire to pin 28 on my Motronic DME. Trying to pull out one of my useless pins didn't go so well and I failed to find a part number for just a pin on realoem. I'm told these are available from BMW and, does anyone have a part number?

Better yet does anyone have some laying around they want to sell?

Try Neel at Apex Speed Tech, they sell an AMP connector kit for the pectel that looks very similar to what's on the motronic.

    Andrew,

Actually, the pin terminals are available from Tyco/AMP and can be ordered through Mouser, Newark, etc. (I'm in the process of re-doing my harness for standalone). Good news is that these are the same pin terminals for all the input connectors (IAT, CLT, Crank Signal, Injectors, etc.), so it pays to have some extra ones.

The part numbers that I used are as follows:

    925596-2 (0.50-1.50 mm2, small)
    925597-1 (1.0-2.50 mm2, large)

    They're about 20 cents each.

Shoot me a PM, I may have some extras.

    Hope it helps,

    Gregg

    Gregg,

Thanks so much, as usual the information I find here is much more helpful than I could have anticipated. I found both connectors in stock at onlinecomponents.com. They should be here sometime this week. Thanks for providing those part numbers, for 20 bucks I should have enough of these to last a lifetime of S14 ownership.
