Even if it does happen to be a real Evo, they screwed it up with the S38 in there. Its worth less with the bigger motor than it is real, so $65K? Pshhh, lets try $15K as a rolling chassis.

    What a waste.

Might not agree with the wording in his ad, wait, totally don't...but I want/need that hood. Is that a VIS product?

The owner is actually a member here. Joined last summer after getting the swap completed.

Guy's a tool but styling aside the car seems nice.
He's definitely smoking something with that ad and with that asking price though ....and as far as the real EVO III thing, I'm sure he's referring to the E3 "type" body parts.
There used to be a handful of youtube vids of it right after the swap and of the owner driving like a douche.

Looks much better on the registry than today. I suppose if he truly has $70k invested in it, he's so far under water that he needs to sell it now rather than use and enjoy. Obviously he got carried away building it and just kept telling himself it was an 'investment'. He'll be very luck to get over $25k, and it won't be to an enthusiast.

I think his wording is for marketing purposes. More search hits will come up.

This is the sort of thing we have had to deal with since the "fast and furious" crowd decided the E30M3 was cool a few years back....

    I like it.

I would ditch all the fake suede and put in re-wrapped stock seats, lose the lick-n-stick bits and paint all the carbon. Otherwise it appears to be very well done. Looks like everything has been addressed and it's ready to drive.

I don't think it looks any different then most of the other M3's I see. We only have so many parts to choose from!

So it has 2 extra cylinders, that doesn't make it a bad car. You can sell that engine for $10k and buy a built S14 to pop in there in a busy weekend if you don't like torque It's not like S14's are unobtainable.

$65k is a bit crazy, but there are crazy people born everyday so i don't blame him for trying. I agree with Fronton, he got carried away with it. There is def. a bunch of $ spent on this one.

Do not want....but I will admit while a touch ricey it looks like a very well restored car and the seats and headliner look good. Just shouldnt call it an EVO I guess.
