Nice find Tom..
How the fuck do you just walk into a police auction and score gold? It's almost as arbitrary as getting lost in the long-term parking lot at the airport and finding a cheap E30M that has been forgotten by the crazy dude that flew international only to fall in love with a Norwegian farm girl and get married and find a job at the local lighthouse!
thats what happened to the m3 from the chase video.
[/IMG]It has an interesting history as it was bought and registered in Houston, TX in 91.
Registered in Little Rock in 95 for two months
Registered in New Orleans from 95-98
Registered in NY from 99-01
No records from 01-06 when it was then registered in Californina
No records from 06-12 until it was registered back in Houston, TX and bought at a police auction.
It's gone full cirlce.
Owner claims that it's been in storage since 2002, not sure how he knows that, especially since it was registred in CA in 2006.
I wish I still lived in Austin as I would drive down to take a closer look at it.
Also, Carfax notes that this vehicle was registered in a county declared a flood disaster area by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in 9/2005
and looks like it was hit in the front due to paint bubbling on front fenders and since the owner has hard time to find the VIN stickers on them. I like when the owner states that he could smell that car has gas which smell like from 2002, definitely not from 2006.
It may be that I just do not like how the owner presents the all that story around the car not knowing how rare it is. And I sure am jealous.
Sold for $22k
A bit surprising the car brought that much given the obvious flaws in the photos.....either two things happened: 1. Buyer was basing the sale price largely on the mileage and isn't worried about all the things it needs to bring it up to quality condition, or 2. Buyer got wrapped up in the heat of the auction and just plain overpaid! Hopefully, the winning bidder had someone look at and drive the car, or he/she had a first-hand look-see!

Those headlights are hideous and is that an Earl Scheib paint job?

$22,200.
Where were these buyers when I was selling my car? I believe everything below 100k miles fetches really high.
Still hanging. What the "regional miles" stands for?

i think he means regional miles as it in the US?? no idea. i think the headlights and the not so clean interior is what distracts from this one. I realy like the other black E30 M3 on ebay with the S52 and beautiful interior/wheels/brakes
