Really nice. Haven't watched videos of an S54 swap in an E30 before -- funny to see an E30 making such good time without the engine constantly above 5500 RPM.

the power is fantastic... the balance hasnt been upset and its a blast... the s54 is a real awesome engine, as long as the engine management is sophisticated enough to control it.....

i used to have a real nice 2.5 s14, but this is what happened....

now its a S54 and 6speed trans

the s14 was running SOOO nice right before it decided to let go. i was rounding turn 10 @ summit, inside the car i heard no signs of knocking, but when it let go at 8krpm when i was shifting into 5th, it sounded /felt like bad misfire, then i knew something was wrong, and then it sounded like a bunch of metal jingling around like keys...... beat.

wasnt as catastrophic sounding as it looks, i thought it would of been louder or something....

What I am impressed with is how fast those porsches are in your third vid because you know your way around the track and you obviously are making reallyngood power.

thanks yes i have a rear bar/cage welded in... saving up for the full cage soon.... here's another link to an interior video.....

those p-cars have some serious legs... i drive a little more conservative with these guys, they are a touch more 'wild' or unpredictable then when im with my chapter's bmwcca. (we only have 3 DE's a year, and the 2nd one is next weekend... )
