Trade: Stock Black front seats for good cores + cash / WTB Rear seat lower cover

I have a set of nice stock FRONT E30 M3 Black seats that I was going to recover with new leather. Then I thought about it, the leather on these are actually good so why not trade them with someone who has some with bad leather plus cash. Saves a good set of seats from being torn down.

I'm in Sacramento, but will be in Half Moon Bay this weekend also and can bring them with me. If anyone is interested, let me know what you have and what you can offer on top of your "core" seats. Only thing is, the core seats have to have good foam, no mold and good mechanical operation.


No tears or wear marks, leather seems a little hard in areas from sitting since 1998 but overall nice seats.



I'm also in need of a rear seat bottom cover. Preferably in crap ass condition as long as the metal wires are in the seats since that's all I need from it.

Will you consider a trade with black vinyl sports seats? My M came with those seats and I hate them.

I don't care if they are pink corduroy...

The covers will be removed. This will only make sense for someone who has bad seat covers that are ripped or just old and wants a different set of seats.

I can also just sell these and pick up a set of cores from the JYD. I just don't want to tear down an already decent set when someone else may be able to use them instead. What do a set of decent m3 seats go for these days anyways?

One other thing, this will def. be a local trade, not going to ship them anywhere.

If you don't end up with any takers, LMK if you just decide to recover them, I'd take your old covers off your hands, since they are in better shape than mine are. If we were closer we could work something out, but I'm too far from Sacramento to make it work. G/L and thanks,

Whats different? I know the stiching is different...are you referring to the actual cushions under the leather for the back rest and bottom?

I don't believe there is any difference between the regular E30 sport seats and the M3/Vert seats, once the covers/padding is removed. I have swapped the seat base between a regular sport and M3 seat and there is no difference in the bases, only the covers/padding. Recovering a set of regular E30 sport seats with M3 covers and padding would be an alternative to sourcing a set of M3 seats to be recovered...
