What are you having tuned? Just a WAR chip or a MAF upgrade also?

Just seeing how receptive the gruppe is. Mine is basically stock, except for Evo 2 intake cam, Evo airbox, and Euro resonator ( no cat). chucker

shadye, not sure what you meant about the tune being held? But i take your responses as positive toward this 'sharing idea'. chucker

    Chucker,

What i meant was where would the tuning session be held at? Would it be at Millers center or somewhere else? And yes my comments are definitely positive!!

Ok I see what you meant. It seems we shoud be able to share tunes with each other based on what mods have been done to our engines. i know final tune is done on a dyno, but you would be closer if you started with a fellow members tune where your 2 engines were identical. My tune would be: 2.3 95,000 miles, evo 2 intake, no cat, evo airbox. That would be posted on a place like 'Dropbox' I guess. If i get these bugs worked out, i'll share it. Share the love. oh wait thats Subarus lingo.

Maybe it's just me...but I have no idea what you are talking about.

What is a "Miller Tune"? Who is Miller? If he is a tuner, where does this happen? Cost?

I guess it is cute and fashionably direct...or maybe just lazy....to do a one line post with no information. But then, everyone either ignores you or the thread gets polluted with a bunch of confused responses trying to figure out what you are talking about.

Man, we seemt o have the same engine, well almost the same because I'm waiting for my EVO II intake cam to arrive and install it. How can we "upload" here the tunes?

I'm trying to tune the cold start in idle in other M3 (MAF+WAR) which is a 276/276 2.5L stroker with green injectors (the same that used the SE) but the few pre tunes that came in the chip aren't any good and still have porblems with it.

Anyways, I could share my tune of my 2.3L once is installed, just waiting for the the chip to arrive udner warranty that got locked the software.

Also, drive me nut the software glitch it has when you save in "x" tab and when you click read all, it moves to the next tab :(

I think he's looking for a file for a map for a miller war chip so that when he goes to a dyno to be tuned, he has a better starting point which will result in less tune time. He's not talking about sharing a dyno day.

Your setup is almost identical to mine...I guess i misunderstood but i thought you meant sharing a tuning session with Miller on the same day where multiple cars would show up that day and everyone receives a discount on the tuning fee

yes, ShiftBMW is correct in what I meant. I would like to see us "share" our tunes. However, maybe our members wont because hard earned money, time, trips to dyno, etc. go into those tune files. chucker

I'm still tunning the cold start and it's getting better, at the point that it fire up and pretty much is solid idle, but after 1-2 mins of running in idle, the "MAP" should change to warm up mode and get even better idle if you didn't carefully tune the cold start (that was happening to me). After figuring out the cold start tune, the MAP won't chnage the "status" to warm up mode and the idle start to decrease the quality, like a backward situation.

    Before I was like this:

*Bad Cold Start = Rough idle for about 1-1.5 mins and after that it will jump to warm up mode and idle quality will be superior and very very stable

*Now good tune Cold Start = Fine idle when fired up but when it start to "Warm up" the idle start to decrease the quality at the point where the "Bad Cold Start" issues we had (previous phrase) not until I cycle the IGN keya nd restart the engine, then it will fire up perfect and smooth idle, like it get reset byt doing this...WTF?

Also, for the FUEL WOT tab from (i.e.) 100-110-115-110-100, etc values I got in that tab, I started to decrease them because every time I go WOT, the AFR guage shows 10.0 and the car back out a bit (super rich)....and kept decreasing the values until the point is ZEREOD all the Fuel WOT tab tune and still we are getting a solid read of 10.0 AFRin the gauge and the car loss power.

    Any clues?

    Thanks

PS: I have contacted Brody several times through the email but havent recieve a single reply from him.
