After figuring out the cold start tune, the MAP won't chnage the "status" to warm up mode and the idle start to decrease the quality, like a backward situation.

    Before I was like this:

*Bad Cold Start = Rough idle for about 1-1.5 mins and after that it will jump to warm up mode and idle quality will be superior and very very stable

*Now good tune Cold Start = Fine idle when fired up but when it start to "Warm up" the idle start to decrease the quality at the point where the "Bad Cold Start" issues we had (previous phrase) not until I cycle the IGN keya nd restart the engine, then it will fire up perfect and smooth idle, like it get reset byt doing this...WTF?

Also, for the FUEL WOT tab from (i.e.) 100-110-115-110-100, etc values I got in that tab, I started to decrease them because every time I go WOT, the AFR guage shows 10.0 and the car back out a bit (super rich)....and kept decreasing the values until the point is ZEREOD all the Fuel WOT tab tune and still we are getting a solid read of 10.0 AFRin the gauge and the car loss power.

    Any clues?

    Thanks

PS: I have contacted Brody several times through the email but havent recieve a single reply from him.

    For everyone's future reference.

    Hey Diego,

Ok, a couple things. That stupid "read" bug will be solved shortly. We have a new developer working with us as we were having some "time" issues with our original. For now, while tuning, I recommend loading the same file into every tab so there is no question about what tune you are running. Once you are happy with your tune, you can load different variants into the chip and leave it be. Another way to work around it for now is to just open a copy of the tune you want to revise from your computer. Open it into the position you want to update, and when you "write" it will keep the tunes in the order you originally set them. Again, this is annoying, asking me how I know, but it is being worked on right now.

As far as WOT goes, please run though this trouble shooting guide: http://millerperformancecars.com/fil...ng%20Guide.pdf

There are only two reasons why a car will not respond to value changes. One, the map is not being used. This would be from the TPS not working but if that was the case you would be lean as your car would be stuck in partial throttle or the ECU is looking at a different map all together. These ECU's have multiple maps, but your 2.5L base file MAY be old file structures before we started forcing the M3 ecu to read the map set we want no matter what the "region" setting was coded for.

The other reason for a Super rich AFR that is not responding is because of the MAF. If installed incorrectly or plugged in upside down, you will be in a sort of limp mode where it just throws fuel at it because it doesn't know what is actually happening.

A tip for cold start. If you car is substantially different and our "base" cold start maps are not working well, copy the normal maps into the appropriate cold start maps and slightly tweak them from there. Cold start really only lasts about 1 to 2 minutes so it is tough to tune, even for us. When we do it, we have to have the car for a couple days to ensure true cold starts with the most amount of time possible in those maps. Once it is dialed in, it works for 90% of cars that are the same.

I will copy this message to that thread on s14.net for everyone to see and for future reference. I am sorry I have been hard to get a hold of lately. It has been extremely slow for us and I have had health problems with my 9 month old daughter so that was taking priority. I should be easier to get in touch with next week though.

Carfantiti, Ive been saying this for months, but it went over like a fart in church.

We need a miller war tunes Forum Topic where we can post our tunes all referenced by the specifics of each engine. Mileage, bore, cams, AF values, etc.

It would get us closer and your trip to the dyno should be a quicker tuning section.

Doesn't the Miller conversion have full closed loop control? If not I would imagine that needs to be an upgrade option available. Otherwise it's like the old style Maxx units which are now upgraded. It's literally plug and play in full loop setting. Of course you'll want to tune the base map in event you have issues with the WB02 and it fails etc; just defaults to the map.

No, there is no loop. In order to tune you have to monitor AF values and adjust values yourself. It is easy to tune and adjust values. This is a negative to the Miller Set up.
