Just fitted my euro spec rear bumper today and it really doesn't seem to fit as well as my US spec bumper did. Basically, there is a gap between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the body that is clearly larger than it was with the US spec bumper that i got rid of.

Are there any adjustment points for the rear bumper? My body shop guy is telling me know, I haven't really looked to closely yet though. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this recently that can recall how to properly fit it.

    Thanks

    Dave

I just took mine off a few days ago. When you are tightening down the 2 main bolts there is some play and you can push and hold the bumper up while tightening the bolts down. It doesn't make a lot of difference, but some

I was thinking about taking off the plastic mounts on the inside of the bumper by the wheels and slotting those holes so I can slide the sides of the bumper up higher on the mount. It's just a little gappier than I had hoped for a brand new BMW bumper. I guess I'll be working on it today, I'll post if I'm still struggling with it

    That should do it!

If you ever want to go to alignment h*** just try getting a welded-on muffler to align perfectly. I've got mine pretty close but not 100%. On top of that, stuff moves a bit as it heats up, and as the engine itself moves around a bit so you have to strike a compromise. It was a lot easier with the clamp on muffler setup - that way you can screw around until you're happy. Of course with a large round tip this would be moot.
