Engine specs are basically(we all know there is way too much to list for an s14 rebuild) Turner 2.5L kit and a BCE racing port/polish and full radius valvejob on the head(BCE is the same company that does the Turner Stage III head but I went directly through them rather than Turner) with Schrick 292/284 cams, and basically the valvetrain components from the 320/308 setup(the race valves and stiff springs). In the works is alpha/n, most likely using a Motec M4 ECU. After driving it on the street for a little while I am considering upgrading to a 308 on the intake and pushing the 292 over to the exhaust, but I will wait until alpha/n is installed to decide.

love the pics, looks really nice. I actually learned how to drive stick on a 190E 16v, same car as above.

Anyway, just out of curiousity, how do the cars compare speed wise? Straight line, corners?

Thanks for the input, great pics

Heh, the 190 and E30 together again, like old times. It's funny how the Ford Xr4ti never even get's mentioned when talk or pics of the old 80's DTM rivalries come up. BMW put to much spankin' down on the Ford and the Benz was a great contender, that R5 is sexah!

We didn't get a chance to compare our cars when they were both stock, but from what I remember of mine when it was stock vs. his now which is mostly stock, the M3 is faster in both straightline and has a little bit more confidence in cornering, maybe because the 190e has that weird self leveling rear suspension. It's probably not far to compare our cars now.

Rob, I would agree that the 190e needs lowering, but I thought mine was pretty low already? I have Ground Control with the perches lowered pretty significantly(pretty much the way Ground Control recommended). I don't have the BBS RGR's installed in those pictures so maybe that will improve the way it looks?

I may be biased but i think the merc styling has not aged well compared to the E30. I've never been a fan of chrome though.

At my local club a stock 2.3 16 is ranked two classes slower than a stock E 30M3.
