I have a 88 US M3 I was wondering if it came with LSD?

Really?? I was told that it did not. Say I change my gear oil and I don't add the LSD fluid, what would happen to my diff?

Yes it should have a 4.10 LSD in it. If you don't add the additive, it wont be an lsd for long.

More importantly, who told you it did not?
For a fluid change, most fluid, unless specified for open diffs will have LS additive. At least decent brands that is. Oh and if you put in NS fluid, the diff will chatter and you'll know it, as Todd black 88 says, for a little bit anyway. ; ) Cheers.
